    Could the holes in the ruler be used for marking a grid of some kind?

    Well they could… but for what and why? I was really hoping someone would *know*. I hoped someone might say, “I have one of those! It is used for… and this is how…” I’ve had lots of suggestions from people, but no definitive answers.
