White Threads FlossTube #5 – wash-out fabric pencils

I was getting ready to post this video earlier today when two tonnes of firewood was delivered (and needed to be stacked before the rain came), and two pet sheep were delivered for a holiday here to eat the grass in our back paddock. Meet Sugar and Harry!

Today’s episode of White Threads FlossTube is a review of the Sewline Fabric Pencil, and I also show you the embroidery I’m wearing for the day, which is a cross stitched monogram pendant.

I had a very alarming time with a quilter’s vanishing pen on one piece – it unvanished itself when I washed the project! Fortunately I got it all out eventually, but I’ve never used that or any of the other markers since! Like you, I stick to Sewline, or sometimes the fine pigma pens, if I know the piece won’t be washed.

These sorts of horror stories are also why I don’t go near Frixion pens. Too scary to use on my precious embroidery!
