quilled lily

My good friend Belinda loves quilling. For my birthday some weeks ago, she decided to use a lily motif inspired by the Mountmellick stitch along design, and re-interpret it in quilling.
quilled Mountmellick lilyI was so taken with the resulting birthday card that I oohed and aahed over it, put it on the mantlepiece, and then realised much later in the day that I hadn’t even read the message on the inside! But I loved the outside so much that I forgot!

Thanks Belinda!

Wow, I don’t know what to say! I wasn’t expecting this! It was a pleasure to make and thank you for the inspiration and most of all, your friendship. 🙂

    Thank you Ann and Rachel.
Ann, I subscribe to your blog so I feel quite humbled you have made such a comment. Between Yvette’s encouragement and your inspiring blog, I will be making quilling and crafting my work. Thank you!
