I am wondering if anyone can point me to some pictures of non-counted-thread, contemporary, needlework samplers? Just doing a bit of research for a class and coming up with a complete blank…
Preferably online, but book references also welcome.
Can you help? Thanks!
White Threads is the blog of Yvette Stanton, the author, designer, publisher behind Vetty Creations' quality needlework books and embroidery products.

There are a couple of group blogs you may want to look at – one, 39 Square, just finished their samplers, a stitch along sampler with 39 squares – contemporary and not counted thread: http://39squares.blogspot.com/
Now there is another SAL, Count Your Blessings – which I have decided to participate in, it may give you some ideas as well: http://countedblessingsproject.blogspot.com/

Thanks Elizabeth. You’re stopping me from going through the wardrobe and Purging my clothes…!
Just had a look at them (continued on the wardrobe while the pages were loading!) and I love the idea of the squares for the sampler! So different to stock-standard lines of stitches. Hmm… I wonder if that will work for my idea? Thanks for the references, Elizabeth – much appreciated!
You’re welcome! XO
