I just found out that “The Left-Handed Embroiderer’s Companion” has been named Book of the Month by the Royal School of Needlework’s shop! Yay!
I’m also after a copy of Mary Hickmott’s New Stitches magazine which apparently has reviewed the book in the latest issue. I emailed New Stitches, and they’re very kindly sending me a copy. What lovely people!
I managed to get “The Right-Handed Embroiderer’s Companion” off to the printer yesterday. It will probably be back here in 2 1/2 to 3 months time. So the August release is looking good. Of course, if I have it early, it will go out early too!
Now I can breathe for a day or two, then get onto fixing or burying my desktop computer.
White Threads is the blog of Yvette Stanton, the author, designer, publisher behind Vetty Creations' quality needlework books and embroidery products.

Oh my! Congratulations!!!!!
yes, that’s pretty much what I thought too!

Thanks Yvonne!
Great news, Yvette – well done!
What an honor, Yvette. And well-deserved, too. You may be amused to know that my copy of the LH Embroiderer’s Companion recently “flew” roundtrip from Europe to the U.S. with me for a family visit. I’m sure that, to date, mine is the most well-travelled copy of your book!
My husband thought that my copy may have been in competition with yours, as it went with us to Ethiopia. But then I realised that I donated mine to the school library, and it remains there in Africa. So yes, yours still holds the title for “most well-travelled copy of The Left-Handed Embroiderer’s Companion”! Well done! 😉
Congratulations Yvette, a great achievement for you!
