The Left Handed Embroiderer’s Companion is now available for pre-order! (yay!) The book will ship in January 2010, but if you order now, your copy will be posted as soon as it arrives!
Keep in mind that you’ll also be able to get it from your local needlework shop in early 2010. If they don’t have it, ask them to get it in for you! Supporting your local needlework shop is always a good idea.
If you have any questions about the book, please don’t hesitate to ask. You can post here on the blog, or email me directly. There’s a lot of additional information on the book’s page at the Vetty Creations website.
Last week when I was in Adelaide at Country Bumpkin’s Beating Around the Bush needlework conference, I had a set of printouts of the book with me to show people. The left-handers in my classes were able to use it during their class, and I also leant it to a nearby class for their use too. They loved it, and commented on how very clear it was and easy to use. At the mini market day, people were very excited about it, with many placing their orders already. The other tutors who had a look, were very complimentary, saying that they plan to get a copy for use in their classes for the left-handed students. Most people made the comment that its a book that should have been written years ago!
So join in the fun and order your copy of The Left-Handed Embroiderer’s Companion today! If you’re a left-handed embroiderer, this is the book you’ve been waiting for!

Yvette,
This book is so very timely, as I have just begun to learn to embroider, and have just been into your site to pre-order it!
Have already experienced the frustration of trying to "mentally reverse", mirror reverse (too time-consuming), and all the other suggested methods for left-handers.
Your book will permit me to learn each stitch correctly (from my left-handed viewpoint).
Many thanks for undertaking this project. – Sharon in France
Hi Sharon,
Thanks for your enthusiasm! I have enjoyed writing this book so much. Its been fun to play with so many colours and stitches. I trust that you will find it to be your most useful stitch dictionary!
