I have just returned from 4 days worth of Mountmellick classes with the Grafton Group of the NSW Embroiderers Guild. We had a wonderful time making very detailed samplers of Mountmellick stitches.
I bet they never knew how many variations of feather stitch and buttonhole stitch and many other stitches that we could possibly cover in the few days together. While some decided to just stick with learning as many stitches as they could, others made a good start on their chosen Mountmellick projects.
We had lots of yummy morning teas, played with lots of white thread, got lots of knots out of thread, laughed a lot, talked a lot, even shared some tears…
I had a wonderful time, and very nicely, the participants all kept telling me how much they were enjoying it too.
So thanks to all the lovely ladies of the Grafton group for your wonderful hospitality, and for giving me such an enjoyable week! Remember, I want to see your finished projects! 🙂
