White Threads

Back in the office

Well, I’m back. Actually, I was yesterday too, but it was filled with lots of running around doing work stuff and family stuff.

I had a great break over Christmas. We did lots of family things together, and had many new experiences. I saw some embroidery, visited some new places, experienced different temperatures, and learned new things.

Actually, we went overseas. 🙂 I had my first European Christmas, and no, it was not a white Christmas. I’ll share some photos with you as time goes along.

Does anyone want to guess where we went? And no, I wasn’t researching a book. This time, it was just a family holiday (with incidental embroidery in museums crammed in, as much as possible!)

So, where do you think I went?

These things are on my bucket list. My guess would be Denmark, Germany or France.
    Inspiration for a new collection?

Very good guesses Karen, but I’m not saying yet… 🙂

Lovely picture – I don’t know where it might be, but it’s not the very, very, very soggy UK!

Aw, I was going to guess Denmark. Largely because I like Denmark. 🙂

I can’t wait to find out! My guess is Hungry – I’ll throw a left field guess into the mix! I’m an Australian, and have spent two Christmases in Canada and two in England and am yet to see a white one! I’m starting to think they are a myth!

Sue, you’re right, it wasn’t the UK. I’m sorry that you’re so soggy!

Dangermom, I love Denmark too. Good guess, but I’m still not saying.

Catherine, Hungary is still on my bucket list, and as The Reader has a Hungarian school friend who moved back home there, and she wants to visit, I can see that might happen one day! 🙂 We did have a white post-Christmas!

I’m glad you had a good time. I won’t try to guess where you have been. Sarah and I went to England, which was very, very soggy. We got back on Christmas Eve, in time for all the rain and flooding here! I think I forwarded this to you in a group email, but in case I missed you off, here’s the link to an exhibition coming to Sydney in another year: http://enfilade18thc.com/2015/12/30/exhibition-reigning-men-fashion-in-menswear-1715-2015-2/

Hi Bel! Sorry to hear that you had such a soggy time. 🙁 I did get the link, thank you, and noted it! It was one of few emails I didn’t delete! I hope all is well with you.
