Today I have a sneak preview of the likely new cover of “The Right-Handed Embroiderer’s Companion”. It is designed to complement the cover of The Left-Handed Embroiderer’s Companion.
I had so much fun doing the embroidery for this cover. You can see that I have used the Colourstreams hand-dyed felt (in “Monet” colour) that arrived in the mail last week. I also used DMC color variations floss, plain floss, perle coton in various sizes, Rajmahal art silks and some old Gumnuts yarn wool that I had.
At this stage, it looks like “The Right-Handed Embroiderer’s Companion” should be ready for an August release. Once its off to the printers, I’ll put it on the Vetty Creations website for pre-publication orders.
White Threads is the blog of Yvette Stanton, the author, designer, publisher behind Vetty Creations' quality needlework books and embroidery products.

The cover is just perfect, Yvette.
It seems like you were “just thinking” about the possibility of a “Right-Handed Embroiderer’s Companion”, and now it is nearly finished. I am so glad you decided to go ahead with it.
I will look forward to the release in August.

Thanks Shirley. Yes, it all has been rather quick. Its much easier to adapt a book than to create a completely new one! When I realised that, it seemed mad not to go ahead with it. 🙂
This looks amazing! I can hardly wait until its available in Canada!
Neither can I! 😀
Hi there Yvette,
Congratulations on such a speedy response to us Righties!!
Looking forward the books imminent release.
Hi, Yvette!
Oh, this is So Exciting! And I love the cover! August, eh?! Congratulations! You don’t mess around, do you?
Looking forward to it hitting the market!

Thanks Mary and Marysia, I was so relieved to get it off to the printers yesterday, without my poor old computer dying first!
I’d actually like to go back and figure out how long this book has taken. I think its only been a few weeks since I saved the first file for it. Record time! (A book will NEVER happen again so quickly!)
