truckin’ quilters

A very surprising article in the Wall Street Journal on American truckers who knit and quilt.

Interesting that they are finding quilting and knitting good pastimes to while away the hours, doing something creative and productive. Something we’ve all known for a long time.

I wonder if this will lead to truckin’ music which laments a dropped stitch rather than a lost lover…?

I love it! Especially the guy with the shaved head and tattoos knitting!

Also I want to say welcome home. I haven’t forgotten that you want to see Waterlilies – one day when I feel brave!

I have spent all day wondering whether this is an April Fool’s Day joke. I have to conclude that because I heard about it from some Americans who were talking about it before it was even April Fool’s Day there, that it must be legit. There is no reason, really, to think that it isn’t legit, apart from the fact that it is so unusual…
