Ok, let me start by saying that there is NO digital mischief here…
When I was little I was introduced to the idea that four leaf clovers are lucky, probably by some kid at school. I’ve never seen one, despite sitting in patches of clover at primary school, looking for one. I have just always assumed that they were mythical.
My daughter claimed that she had seen one at school some time back, and I just dismissed it as one of those make-believe things that girls imagine in their role-playing fun at school lunchtime.
This afternoon on our walk home through the park, my daughter said “Hey, look, there’s a FIVE leaf clover!” And sure enough, there was! We brought it home, and it is now sitting in all its glory in a drinking glass on our dining room table.
If a four leaf clover is lucky, does that mean a five leaf clover is super lucky?!
I will add the postscript that I don’t actually believe in luck! 🙂 I believe God is in charge and that nothing happens in life that he does not have control over. But I’m still amazed that five leaf clovers actually exist.
