Another great exhibition on in Sydney! From 30th July until April next year, the fabulous Powerhouse Museum will be hosting a lace exhibition entitled Love Lace.
It will feature 130 lace works by 134 artists from 20 countries. Wow! And there will be a huge range of lace making techniques on display from the highly traditional to the not at all traditional! It shows the winning entries and finalists in the Powerhouse Museum International Lace Award (an award I didn’t know existed!) You can read more about the exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum‘s website.
For those who are unfamiliar with the Powerhouse Museum, they have an excellent collection of lace in their Lace Study Centre – I would say one of the jewels in their crown.
This exhibition will be very worthwhile to see, and I suspect will be really inspirational. I’ll definitely be off to see it at some point!
Thanks very much to Helen Davies, who kindly let me know about this exhibition last week.

Thanks for posting this. I will definitely plan a trip to Sydney to view this exhibition.
