I haven’t posted in a while because I’ve been so busy. One of my major projects has been completely redesigning the Vetty Creations website. I am pleased to say that it was uploaded late last night, and is now there in all its glory!
I’d love to know what you think of it.
The new look is much softer and more in line with the idea of whitework embroidery. There are close-up pictures of some of my whitework embroidery, thanks to a suggestion from a good friend of mine who really felt that this was what my website was missing!
There are some new products in the online shop, including Glenshee Linen in two colours. This fabric is a lovely heavy-weight linen that I used for the mini cushion project in my merezhka book Ukrainian Drawn Thread Embroidery.
I have slowly been working on all my class models for the year as well. Hopefully I’ll get some pics up here soon.

Just want let you know that originally the Merezhka going with other white embroidery not only around skirt hems . It going almost on the all skirt. Only each additional rou must be small than previous from down to up.
The works in museum was at least 60santimeter high embroidery on each skirt.
Wow Ira, thanks for letting me know. It must have been very beautiful work that you saw. The pieces that I saw at the Ukrainian museum in New York were not as elaborate as that!
Thanks, Yvette.
