I always give myself the week between Christmas and New Year off work. This year I have taken the time to read several books and have enjoyed them all very much. It was interesting that the theme of twindom/secret siblings ran through three of the books. I do have a twin, but not a secret sibling!
The Memory Keeper’s Daughter – Kim Edwards
The Kite Runner – Khaled Hosseini
The Innocent Man – John Grisham (his first NON fiction book)
The Thirtheenth Tale – Diane Setterfield
I have also been making a gift for my six month old niece for her birth. Yes, I’m a little late, but at least its getting done now. It is a lampshade. I won’t say much more than that in case her mother reads this…
January is my time for making up all my class models for the year and sending them out to my host shops. I have a LOT of Mountmellick embroidery to make over the next little while! I will try to remember to post pictures before I send them off.
Hope that you too are having a relaxing break!

You know, my mother recommended The Memory Keeper’s Daughter…I’m at the library using the computer so I think I’ll go upstairs before I leave and check it out! Thank you!
