Hardanger to drool over

A few days ago, a regular reader of this blog and long-time correspondent of mine, Shay, sent me some Hardanger blog links. (Thanks Shay!) There was one that I just have to share with you.

Its the blog of a lady in Spain, Mamen. Unfortunately I don’t read Spanish, but you don’t need another language to see gorgeous Hardanger!

The Hardanger shown was made as a gift for a friend. What a special friend! I particularly love the box and the pincushion design. They are particularly exquisite! But the basket and bookmark are also lovely.

I am not sure whether these were all Mamen’s designs. It seems that the basket border is, but as I am not sure of the translation of the site that Google gave me, I am unsure whether the others are her designs also.

Beautiful work, Mamen. Congratulations on your exquisite stitching!

In English: Mamen, Only a year of Hardanger embroidery? Wow, you are doing well! Keep going with the designs. I’m sure we’ll enjoy seeing more. Best wishes, Yvette (translated into Spanish by Google, so apologies if its a bad translation!)
