White Threads

an advanced Hardanger embroidery stitcher

I received a lovely email this week:

Hi Yvette,

I am an avid fan of yours!

I had started embroidering again after my three sons left home four years ago and had strong interests in learning Hardanger, stumpwork and goldwork. I do most of my learning and sourcing out good learning books via the net. So I was really pleased when I found your wonderful teaching book of Elegant Hardanger Embroidery. I soon became advanced in Hardanger after finding your text so easy to read and follow and I thank you very much!

I have recently had a growing urge to learn Mountmellick and so seeing you have a book out as well I jumped at the opportunity to have your book [Mountmellick Embroidery: Inspired by Nature] in my hands. I hope I can do justice to your lovely work.

I have added a pic of the Hardanger that I have achieved from your book. (Have done lots more but can’t find the pics.) Kind regards and many thanks for sharing you wonderful gift.

Mandy.

Mandy, your Hardanger is just beautiful! And thank you for the very kind comments about my books. I’m sure you’ll do just as well with Mountmellick!

In Mandy’s picture, the runner at the top and the pillow on the left are from “Elegant Hardanger Embroidery”. If you’d like to learn Hardanger, you can too with my book Elegant Hardanger Embroidery. Purchase your copy today – it makes a great Christmas gift for yourself or someone else!

Or you can embark on a new adventure just as Mandy is doing, and learn Mountmellick embroidery with Mountmellick Embroidery: Inspired by Nature.
