Its now time to unveil the cover of our new book “Mountmellick Embroidery: Inspired by Nature”, the 2nd edition, which is fully revised and expanded.
Drum roll please…
The cover shows a close-up of a vintage Mountmellick blackberry nightdress case, with the most gorgeously yummy stitching!
As with my most recent covers, I like to have a lovely close-up of the stitching and let it simply speak for itself. Someone once said to me its as if I can’t bear to cover any of it up!
Honestly, I suspect this book is the most eagerly awaited release since “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”…! Oh well, maybe not! 🙂
Inside, you’ll find all you need to know about Mountmellick embroidery.
Even if you have the first edition of “Mountmellick Embroidery: Inspired by Nature” there’s definitely more for you in this edition. And if you don’t have the first edition, this book is all you’ll need to make your own beautiful Mountmellick embroidery.
You can purchase your own copy from Vetty Creations. Unfortunately orders cannot be sent until the book arrives in late November (2007), no matter how much we’d like to send them out earlier!

Hi,I am fan of embroidery like hardanger and redwork. I lve mountemellick embroidery but I have never made it. I would like to have your book but I search the amazon UK and I found only the first edition. As I live in Portugal Aazon is the best way to purchase these kind of books. Do you know when Amazon will have your Gorgeous book (I can see it by the book cover).
Hi Belém,
The book is not yet released, but will be distributed in Europe by Search Press in the future – probably some way through next year.
I am not sure whether Search Press list their books on Amazon. It may or may not ever get to Amazon.
Certainly it can be purchased directly from Vetty Creations here in Australia and posted to you (when it is released in late November/early December.
I hope that helps.
Yvette
PS: I’m hoping to visit Portugal next year!
