Glimpses of new class proposals

glimpses of new class proposals

Glimpses of new class proposals…

Created for events way off in the future. Of course there are selection processes they must progress through.

Which class would you like to do?

Are these classes going to be online or in person?

The proposal is for them to be in person. Online classes take a lot of development, especially if I want them to be good. As there is only one of me and I can’t do everything, I prefer to either write books or take a couple of days or a week out of my regular life to teach an in-person class.

If it were an option*, I’d probably go for the center one. Removing linen threads or pulling/pushing on them to make holes seems daunting. And the center one has both. I’ve done 1 project with Hardanger, and it took days for me to work up the courage to make those first snips. It felt like I counted the threads a thousand times before making that first snip.
I have a much easier time teaching myself counted work, though I confess that’s been only cross stitch and needlepoint so far.

I hope this means you are starting to have more good days health-wise, that you are thinking of offering new classes.

    * I’m guessing since in your comment to Irene, you said “take a day or two” the class would be offered at least somewhat local to you. Pity I’m on the other side of the world.

Thanks Gail. The centre picture is all pulled threads and tension. There is no cutting at all!

I am thinking of classes, but for a way off in the future. The current proposals are for 2026. I’d love to be back to 100% by then! Most large conferences plan a long way in the future.

In saying “a couple of days or a week” I was thinking of both local and further afield. The local ones would be a day or two, and the ones further afield would take a week or more out of my regular schedule.

Choices, choices! I’m intrigued by pulled work, but I’m mostly comfortable working from books, so I would just buy your book on the subject!
