White Threads

ornament exchange

Just wanting to bring to your attention our possible Christmas ornament exchange again. So far we only have about 4 people wanting to take part, which means I would not be likely to run it with so few participants.

At this stage I’m only wanting expressions of interest, so if you say you’re interested, you’re not yet making a firm commitment.

Have we got any more possible takers?

Still plugging away on the tablecloth. The end is nigh…

The trouble is, I’m interested but I don’t think I could make the time commitment! 🙁

    Yes, that is a dilemma!

I am interested too. However,I have lots on my plate and is doubtful that I could make the time commitment! Especially, so much to do approaching the end of the school year.

A familiar refrain! Thanks for your interest Antonia.

Well, I do think that I would have time to do this. My concern is the level of expertise needed. I am very much a beginner and would not want someone disappointed in their exchange. I would, however, work really hard to make it look nice enough for someone to want to use to decorate her home. 🙂

Hi Missy – thanks. I wouldn’t worry about your level of expertise. Usually anything handmade is appreciated by people who also hand-make. 🙂 I’m sure you would do a lovely job.

    Any more takers?

sorry I won’t be taking part this year, still waiting for last year’s to arrive and I didn’t even get a thank you for mine.

Hi Barbara, I’m sorry to hear that happened to you. That was the sort of thing I had feared. 🙁 I completely understand you not wanting to take part this year. It would leave a bad taste in my mouth too.

I would be interested. I would need to mail after Thanksgiving though. I am already involved in a couple of exchanges for Christmas. I know how Barbara feels, I mailed an exchange in Sept and still have not heard from the recipient or received mine. The same thing happened last year with an exchange I did. But, I still keep doing exchanges. Let me know.

Hello Yvette, my name is Chloe and I came to your blog via Craft Gossip. I would very much like to participate the swap if you would accept an oversea participant; I live in Japan. What worries me is if my parcel would arrive in time because of the postal delay due to the holiday season. The post office strongly suggests to post early (very early, like almost November) December to avoid disappointment. I do not wish to let down my partner. Thank you. Chloe P.

Hello Yvette, I’m in India and I got to know about the ornament swap on Craft Gossip. I’d like to participate but what are the dates and how many ornaments would I have to make?

I checked your blog and I have the details – one ornament to be mailed so the recipient gets it for Christmas. That’s certainly workable so I’d like to be counted in.

I’ll pass this year. Too many other projects to do and not enough time!

Thanks for your interest, Amy. Unfortunately I announced yesterday that the exchange won’t be running this year on White Threads, due to the low level of interest and the fact that I am desperately trying to finish writing my book.
