Thank you all for your your feedback yesterday on the order of contents in my Portuguese Whitework book. There was no one who said that the step-by-step stitch and technique instructions should come first. Most people said they felt that the projects should come first, and those who didn’t simply said they didn’t think the order mattered, as long as it was all there somewhere!
So, today I will set about re-ordering everything. I’m also going to take a break from sitting at my computer for days on end, and do some more serious stitching.
I was thinking about the order yesterday and there is a precedent for having projects first and instructions later – most craft magazines are like this. It works for them, so it can work for me too.
Thanks for your responses. I love having my own personal market research team!
