White Threads

more on copyright

There’s a new blog that’s been set up about needlework and copyright. Go and have a read, it is interesting and worthwhile.

My only issue with the site is that it does not identify who is behind it. I think if we had some idea of who, that would make me feel like it had more credibility. My guess is that it could be either one concerned individual or a group of needlework designers who are fed up with copyright theft. Either way, it would be nice to know.

Regardless of that, I hope their campaign has a positive effect.

    Hi Yvette,
When I contacted to report a few sites. My replys were from Diane Williams of Little House Needleworks, Brook from Brooks Books Publishing and Tammy from from Tams Creations. All designers I have stitched and want to continue to stitch. That does include you too. I don’t find many new designs in my surffing but do report any I can find a contact for.

    Happy Stitching
    Shay

Like you, I’d like to know a bit more about who’s behind the site, but I hope the campaign does something to explain to those involved just what the long-term effect of their activities might be…
