I have worked the centre of the opening lily in the same way that I did the open lily flower.
I used stem stitch for the stamens and style, and bullions for the anthers and stigma. The bullions are again wrapped anticlockwise, making them quite fat and pronounced.
You’ll also notice that the stem to the flower is not yet stitched. I have only done the bottom part of the stem so far, down below the large lily, and will stitch the other parts when the leaves and flowers around them are complete. This will give me an easier way to start and finish threads.
