More reviews of Yvette Stanton needlework books

I received an email this morning from Karen Platt, who, according to her website is primarily known in the UK for her gardening books. Also being interested in creative crafts, she has recently moved into reviewing books on craft, including embroidery books.

Karen has written a completely unsolicited review of each of my books, and wanted to let me know. It was quite a lovely surprise, and she’s said some very nice things about our books.

In her email she said,”I am in love with your work. I did not realise they were self-published – good for you. I have self-published 20 gardening books, so I know how hard it is. I wish I were in Australia, I would attend your classes.”

Her reviews can be found at www.karenplatt.co.uk/reviews.

Excerpts from Karen’s review of Elegant Hardanger Embroidery:

Learn how to create the stitches, even the harder ones. Find professional hints and tips and how to fix mistakes… Fifteen exciting projects help you to explore the skills you have learned… Absolutely fabulous, I would recommend this book to anyone. Yvette Stanton is an embroidery teacher who puts her message across effectively.
