White Threads FlossTube #70 – Frisian Whitework Square Cushion

Today I talk about the value of subscribing to both my White Threads FlossTube channel and my White Threads Blog, in the light of recent changes on Facebook in Australia, which could very easily be repeated elsewhere.

I also introduce the Square Cushion, which is the next project I’m featuring from my forthcoming book “Frisian Whitework: Dutch Embroidery from Friesland”. This elegant cushion has a band of embroidery down the front, and is an example of how any cushion can be decorated with a band of embroidery; Frisian or otherwise. I also give a tip on choosing the correct size cushion insert so you get a lovely plump cushion.

I have your vettycreations site bookmarked on my computer rather than wanting to sign in to google to access YouTube, get more advertising unrelated to you, or even get too many more emails. Hope this still supports what you so marvelously do. I refer needlework friends to your site here as the visuals prompt me to remember to do various whitework techniques. Not long ago broke my humerus in a fall on concrete sidewalk so haven’t done any stitching, but your Floss Tube videos are such a wonderful way to think about embroidery.

Thank you Christine! I really appreciate your support. And I hope you heal up quickly!
