The bulk shipment of Hardanger Filling Stitches books is likely to arrive at my storage facility in Sydney just a few days before Christmas. The delayed arrival is due to congestion at ports. While there is often congestion at ports at Christmas time, this has been compounded in Sydney because of a recent cyber attack on one of the major port companies.
I regret that you will not be receiving your copy of “Hardanger Filling Stitches” before Christmas. They will not be able to be sent before the Christmas post cut off dates, and therefore they will arrive after Christmas, not before. I’m sorry about this. Even if I wasn’t still sick (I am still sick and there has been no improvement) that would not make them arrive before Christmas, because it is the shipment’s arrival that is holding this up, not my illness.
I am trying to round up an army of energetic young helpers to receive the bulk shipment into my storage facility, and then to assist me with the mammoth mail out. As I am unwell, I’ll go as fast as I can, but I know it won’t be fast. I’m endeavouring to get as much done as possible before the books arrive, but I am not actually well enough to work. It’s a really sorry state of affairs, with the very worst timing!
I really apologise that your book won’t arrive in time for Christmas. I realise this will upset some plans, and I am sorry for that. Please know that I’ve done everything I can to have it to you as quickly as possible, but it just wasn’t enough.
I wish I had better news for you. I’m sorry.
Please continue to rest and get well. I hope you have a whole host of strong and bright eyed helpers when you need them!
