Try Mountmellick embroidery with this pretty biscornu featuring traditional pomegranate motifs. Mountmellick embroidery is a traditional whitework embroidery from the town of Mountmellick in Ireland. It features highly textured stitching and floral motifs. Learn about the history of the embroidery, and what makes it distinctive. Learn how to stitch the traditional Mountmellick stitches that are used on this biscornu. We will be using traditional matt threads and satin jean fabric.
The biscornu will not be constructed during class time, however instructions will be given for how to do this.
