Vetty Creations office partial closure: I have been unwell since mid November 2023. Orders are going out, though may be delayed when I'm having a really bad day/days. I respond to enquiries when I am able to. I apologise for this. It’s not what I want either.

Sardinian whitework hand towel class with Yvette Stanton

This handtowel featuring a style of historical Italian whitework embroidery is from my new book "Sardinian Knotted Embroidery: Whitework from Teulada". The style is called Punt 'e Nù, and is from the town of Teulada, Sardinia, Italy.

It features a design using traditional motifs, worked in a simple knotted stitch. The front end of the towel's hem is worked with a peahole hemstitch. Mitred corners are also worked, in conjunction with regular hemstitching for the rest of the hemming.

This hand towel class is one of the first opportunities for students to learn this technique from me. It is a counted embroidery, worked on 28 count linen. Experience with counted embroidery is recommended.
