Mountmellick embroidery is a highly textural form of whitework embroidery from the town of Mountmellick in Ireland. It features motifs of plants that grow in the area. It is big and bold embroidery - certainly not small and dainty!
This kit contains all you need to make the biscornu top, including fabric, thread and needle. It does not contain the fabric for the back, buttons or filling. The size of the biscornu is approximately 11cm (4 1/4 in) diameter.
The kit features detailed step-by-step instructions, with clear accompanying diagrams. They are written specifically for beginners to the technique, so will suit embroiderers of all skill levels. The instructions also include step-by-step directions for how to complete the biscornu.
