At the Canberra Antiques Centre, which is a large shop divided up into smaller &#8220;shops&#8221; each one operated by a different second-hand dealer, I enjoyed visiting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.needlewitch.com.au\/\" title=\"Needlewitch\" target=\"_blank\">Needlewitch<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Bernadette Thomas, who I met a few years ago at the Sydney Craft and Quilt Fair, operates Needlewitch, with a focus on antique needlework tools. I was hoping to pick up a few little items that I might be able to use in future photo shoots of my needlework.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/vettycreations.com.au\/white-threads\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/needle-packets.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/vettycreations.com.au\/white-threads\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/needle-packets.jpg\" alt=\"vintage needle packets\" title=\"needle-packets\" width=\"500\" height=\"362\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5015\" srcset=\"http:\/\/vettycreations.com.au\/white-threads\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/needle-packets.jpg 500w, http:\/\/vettycreations.com.au\/white-threads\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/needle-packets-300x217.jpg 300w, http:\/\/vettycreations.com.au\/white-threads\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/needle-packets-150x108.jpg 150w, http:\/\/vettycreations.com.au\/white-threads\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/needle-packets-400x289.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a>I came away a very happy customer with some antique paper needle packets. I did admire some very lovely mother of pearl thread winders too, but they were WAY out of my price range!<\/p>\n<p>Even if you&#8217;re not in Canberra, you can &#8220;visit&#8221; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.needlewitch.com.au\/\" title=\"Needlewitch\" target=\"_blank\">Needlewitch<\/a> at its website. Bernadette has much of her stock listed and photographed online.
