Today I continue with my explanations of the classes I will be teaching for Country Bumpkin’s Beating Around the Bush conference next year in April.<\/p>\n

Class 51: Beyond the basics – mastering challenging and unusual stitches<\/strong>
\nMonday 16th and Tuesday 17th April 2012
\n\"beyond<\/a>Expand your stitch vocabulary! We will work a colourful sampler to master twelve challenging and unusual stitches, starting from the top left:<\/p>\n

  1. Cable plait stitch<\/li>\n
  2. Crested chain stitch<\/li>\n
  3. Hungarian braided chain stitch<\/li>\n
  4. Breton stitch<\/li>\n
  5. Spanish knotted feather stitch<\/li>\n
  6. Spiral trellis stitch<\/li>\n
  7. Cretan catch stitch<\/li>\n
  8. Plaited braid stitch<\/li>\n
  9. Diamond stitch<\/li>\n
  10. Interlaced chain stitch<\/li>\n
  11. Half chevron stitch<\/li>\n
  12. Sorbello stitch<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This class is an advanced class, for experienced embroiderers. Part of the kit provided is a copy of either The Left-Handed Embroiderer’s Companion or The Right-Handed Embroiderer’s Companion, which will be our text book. If you already have a copy, bring it with you, and that part of the kit cost will be deducted.<\/p>\n

    This class will be lots of fun – playing with stitches and seeing how far we can push them. If you want a new embroidery challenge, this is the class for you!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
