There’s a reasonably new textiles magazine on the Australian market called Embellish. Its focus is shibori, embroidery, and other textiley things. I got in contact with the girls there a while ago to send them a copy of The Left-Handed Embroiderers Companion for review. I think that I just needed to admit to myself that that is what I was doing, and that was enough to kick me into action! Yesterday I spent some time with Kirsten Edwards planning for our joint stand (G32) at the Sydney Craft and Quilt Show at Darling Harbour, [...] Here’s the next online book preview: Elegant Hardanger Embroidery. This time we have a preview of the cover, the inside front cover showing some of the projects, the contents, the first few pages of information, part of a project, the index, the inside back cover showing the remainder of the projects, and the back cover. [...] I’ve found a way of creating online previews of my books so that you can see a sample of the contents of my books. I have started with The Left-Handed Embroiderer’s Companion. It has a sample of pages: there are the front and back covers, the contents page, one surface stitch, a variation of [...] Because people have asked for it, I am putting together a supplies pack for Snow White, the Mountmellick project that is published in the latest issue of Inspirations magazine (#62). You’ll need to supply your own copy of the magazine, as that has the pattern and instructions. Included in the supplies pack are those listed [...] I have had a number of enquiries about the instructions for cable plait stitch, to use with the Snow White mountmellick tablecloth. The instructions for this stitch have not been included in the most recent issue of Inspirations magazine, in which Snow White has recently been published.
