I got an email yesterday from my printers to let me know that my advance copies of The Right-Handed Embroiderer’s Companion are currently being couriered to me. Wow! This is earlier than I expected! The fabric is a fine knit, which means it is a little stretchy. It is designed to complement the cover of The Left-Handed Embroiderer’s Companion. I had so much fun doing the embroidery for this cover. You can see that I have used the Colourstreams hand-dyed felt (in “Monet” colour) that arrived [...] It has been a busy but enjoyable week. The books arrived as promised on Tuesday, and all pre-orders were posted by Wednesday morning. It has also gone off to the Australian distributors, so it should appear in the shops some time soon. The US shipment will arrive at the distributors some time next week, and [...] The The Left-Handed Embroiderer’s Companion will be arriving here today! I am eagerly and anxiously awaiting the delivery of oodles of boxes of books. Its going to be about 35 degrees Celcius here today, so I am really hoping that they come early in the day before it gets too hot. I have a busy [...] Yesterday I took delivery of my new gift cards, featuring images of embroidery from my new book The Left-Handed Embroiderer’s Companion. They are gorgeously bright and colourful – like the book really! The images are details of (L-R) breton stitch, double feather stitch, square and double chain stitch, and spiral trellis stitch. They are available [...] Another new product today: The Mighty Bright booklight. But we don’t use it as only a booklight – it makes a fabulous portable light for doing embroidery by! I’ve used one of these, and found it to be absolutely wonderful. At the Beating Around the Bush mini market day, these little lights just walked out [...] I’ve added a new product to the Vetty Creations website: maxiskeins of Mountmellick thread for Mountmellick embroidery. These skeins are equal to five of the regular skeins, meaning that you get a much larger sized skein. It seemed to me that some people would appreciate a larger skein, so here they are!
