Today I have been going through the gazillion emails that my colleague received on my behalf while I was away in Ethiopia. I am eagerly and anxiously awaiting the delivery of oodles of boxes of books. Its going to be about 35 degrees Celcius here today, so I am really hoping that they come early in the day before it gets too hot. I have a busy [...] Yesterday I took delivery of my new gift cards, featuring images of embroidery from my new book The Left-Handed Embroiderer’s Companion. They are gorgeously bright and colourful – like the book really! The images are details of (L-R) breton stitch, double feather stitch, square and double chain stitch, and spiral trellis stitch. The book will ship in January 2010, but if you order now, your copy will be posted as soon as it arrives! I was teaching at Beating Around the Bush, Country Bumpkin’s needlework conference in Adelaide, Australia.
