Mountmellick embroidery is a highly textural form of whitework embroidery from the town of Mountmellick in Ireland. It features motifs of plants that grow in the area. It is big and bold embroidery - certainly not small and dainty!
This kit contains all you need to make one embroidered tin top, including the tin. However, a 5 inch/12.5cm embroidery hoop would be advantageous for making the embroidery. The tins measure approximately 7.2cm diameter by 5cm
high (with embroidered top).
The kit features detailed step-by-step instructions, with accompanying diagrams. They are written specifically for beginners to the technique.
In this range, we also have a Hardanger embroidery tin kit and a Sardinian knotted embroidery tin kit. Collect the set!
